Positively Negative

All of the posts in this gallery are photo positives made from a stack of found 620 film negatives from the early 1950s. Most of this Kodak Brownie film was black and white. Occasionally, a color negative appeared and I was able to (tediously) get an image.

My uncle, age 18, and my grandmother before he heads off to the Navy after basic training, 1953.
A family picnic in the mid-50s. My dad is in the foreground, right.
My father, my grandmother, and my uncle, taken when Dad was on fall break during his freshman year in college, 1948. Dad is holding a pipe, which I just find hilarious.
A spaceman has landed in the back yard!
A Studebaker, a Plymouth, what looks to be a train in the background, and a bunch of guys probably up to no good.
